Fresh water license Q

Haven't even bought one yet this year-been in the salt.

Going to a lake that passes through NH and ME. Grand East Lake (East Grand Lake? who knows).

I'll be in a boat a day or two and walking some-the outflow on this lake is Maine and I want to walk it.

Which State to buy in?

Who's fished it? Anybody hip? I hear rocky bottom and smallmouth friendly, but the water is pretty warm now.

Any moving water to fish nearby that you guys like?

I think you are talking about great east lake. I have been a few times and both times it has been very windy, but it is a nice lake. You should buy a nh fishing licence because it much cheaper than a non resident. For fish it is pretty good, the coves are great for bass. Also watch out for the sandbar in the middle. The markers give you a rough idea where it is, but even a hundred feet from them it is still very shallow.

ME and NH have reciprocity for fishing licenses....as long as you are in a boat on the border waters. As soon as you get out of the boat and start to fish from shore or wading, you need the license for the state you are in.
