Chevy's trying to guarantee an 8 year life on that volt thing. Car costs over 30 g's and is basically disposable in short time. Forward thinking= backward progress nowadays.

Somebody will still buy it.

Not enough sales to sustain the model, but some fool will buy one.

Chevy will make up for the losses in the prices of the other models.

what is the life expectancy of the batteries ? I'd bet they cost a bundle to replace as well.....

 

Just did a little reading. Chevy says the battery is 10K......

 

Resale value on one of these will be squat

There's plenty of people that voted for you-know-hooo that will buy one, especially if it comes with a free bridge and a years supply of chicken lips.
