The Gospel of the Cranbury Buy Rite

the title was from a post made by brewcrew.

The Cranbury Buy Rite is my favorite place to go beer shopping.

It's managed by a friendly Giant named Matt.

Incredible selection.

It's like the opposite of Kaiser.

I shop there as well. The "mix-a-six" wall in the back

can get pricy, but there is no better way to sample so many different beers from that huge selection.

I know the guy too. He told me that his goal is to stock over 700 different beers. That's a LOT of drinkin'beers.gif

The wine room is pretty well stocked too.

yeah I tend NOT to do it because it adds about 30-40% on the price.

but it will save ya from a clunker 6pack.

View Post Matt is a good guy, also plans on adding to the bourbon / scotch selection.

He's worth his weight in gold to the owners.

I've dragged a few people there, and everyone has the same story,

"greets me by name always very helpful"

the guy freaking listens, I commented on the Ron Zappaca rum and it's on the shelf now.

he's so customer oriented I assumed he was the owner for a long time.

He must be ringing in the sales, because the owner finally decided to put some money into the property...the parking lot is getting shaped up, maybe even some new landscaping, blacktop, etc.

Cranbury Buy Rite is absolutely the best. Every time I go in there, there is new stuff to pick through. I hope they are in in business for a very long time, and the owners owe it all to the big guy, Matt. Positively the best guy for that job.

"BIG" Matt has a good heart........ ask him about his bum knee (he was hurtin' bad for a while).......

he also invested in 2009 Bordeaux- it will arrive around late 2011 into 2012...........

he made some sound investments, and his customers will reap the benefits................if you guys want to drink some of this centuries finest Bordeaux ask Matt to reserve you some............

just sayin'

yup,

he always seems to have a case of something special tucked away somewhere.

Last time I went it was a beer that was a collaborative effort between Dogfish head, Stone, and Victory. Saison Du Buff I believe.

pretty pricey, but they are three of the best breweries in my opinion so I picked one up.

He does a good job of stocking the staples AND getting the rare finds.
