View PostI am just curious if a 40 lb coyote would want to tangle with a 20 lb terrier?

Just to clarify things I would never allow my dog to go near a coyote, I love him like a son

I would be concerned by either of my dogs going up against a coyote...because the coyote usually has friends to help out cwm31.gif

One on one, each of my dogs probably could handle it.

I've seen the carcass of what was a 15# terrier on the beach, eaten bare. I know it was a domestic terrier because of the stub nose. A domestic dog of any size will not last with coyotes, if they could they would be running with the packs. I've never seen that mix.

I dont know of any real terrier breed with a stub nose.

Most terriers tend to have longer muzzles for grabbing whatever they were hunting usually fox.

You are probaby thinking of a boston terrier which isnt a real terrier

A grand champion , "Jeep" was 19 pounds . 12 and 0

Pit bull .

I have seen dogs fend off yots . The yot knows it will not live if wounded .

20 lb dog vs 40 lb yot ? I wouldn't take that chance Billy !
