Ed Beneducci on the Marlin VI Princess. I think he is the best fluke man out there and has a gorgeous boat. Get down early and get a spot way up on the bow.

My PB fluke on his boat a few years ago. Well over 10#.

View Post^^^ why is the bow the best spot to fish. and would you drad bait or use bucktails.

Because not matter which side has the drift you are not under the boat. Plus from there you can fan cast out away from the boat and no one is there to tangle with.

As far as bait or BT you can do either.

Use bucktails or balls, with a dropper about 18" up from the main lure. If using a ball, get rid of the hook it comes with and retie the hook about 4 to 6" back from the ball using 30 or 40 pound mono. Cast way up forward of the boat and bounce it in slowly. Put a chartreuse Gulp jerk shad on both the bucktail and the trailer. When they hit this rig, hit 'em back.
