It's coming, but not before the November elections.

Obama will not only let the Bush tax cuts expire but will also initiate a tax increase on those making less than 250K. That's right, the last unbroken campiagn promise thrown under the bus.

Obama just called out the republicans assailing him for his lack of debt control saying that he must make some hard decisions going forward to reduce our debt. Can you say tax increases. Don't be surprised if that 250K drops to 125K.

He will not make any meaningful cuts to government spending and there are not enough rich people to tax to cover all his excessive spending and government entitlement program expansion.

So with expiring tax cuts and new tax increases for average Americans we can kiss goodbye any chance for real economic recovery and job creation. All this and the republicans will be the bad guys for not wanting to reduce our debt.

I always knew this was coming, after all we are talking about the biggest liar to hold the office of presidency. Yes, the biggest (not the only one).

This will hasten his plan to ruin this country and make us all dependent on the government.

Game over man, game over.

The America you knew and love is breathing it's dying breath. We are ofiicially effed. There's no place to escape the oligarichal oppression which will overwhelm the globe within a few years max. We were one the last remaining beacons of hope, but we've been usurped and toppled. The border situation remains snafu for political gain, we have an oil well spewing who knows how much oil into our ocean and Washington purposefully sits back and watches, again, for political gain.

Hope you enjoyed the ride cuz it's about over. HappyWave.gif

Truely sad that so many do not realize what is really at stake come November.

America is sinking and that government lifeboat, well it's full of holes.

Yep, heard his comment today, that it would be 3 years away before we could start reducing our debt.

We have to spend ourselves out of debt???headscratch.gif

Glad of the fact I have a little land, very little debt, some area to put a few farm animals and a garden should it come to that. Oh yeah, some gold, some silver and a lot of lead to cover the first two.

View PostEffed if we do, effed if we don't. We are basically left with no other choice than to chose our poison.

We are not helpless. We can still chose how we want to take it.

How so? We are bordering on fiscally insolvent. We can cut spending significantly or we can raise taxes. Both will have negative economic impacts. There's no other way around it. There's no easy path back to solvency. All solutions involve significant economic sacrifice.

We can cut spending to stop adding to the problem (wow, that's a new way of thinking for washington), and cut taxes to put money back in the pockets of us citizens...this will stimulate the economy as people will spend more. Simple economics.

Oh yeah, and stop growing government...it's way too big.

Unfortunately, none of this will happen with socialists in charge.

Two more things, pay down the deficit with the stimulas that has not been spent. Repeal the health care bill that is now known to add to the deficit.
