Anyone notice the abundance of them this year compared to the last few years? Walking along a certain "moonlit" beach a few nights ago, there were millions of them in the surf. Not to mention the ones that were getting throw up on shore.

Haven't seen any flat head mullet around yet. Anyone else?

Lots of shad, more than last year it seems. The pond is loaded with em' . They migrated in a few weeks early this year.

Killis have spawned out during the last full moon.

Mummies are crazy plentiful. 1 hour soak of the minnow trap yielded a full pot.! Haven't had that happen in yearssmile.gif

Hope all this bait will stay around for the fall run. Last year it all dropped out on the new moon the first week of September.redface.gif

last two times I was on a b-way (yesterday and some time last week) the amount of bait pouring out was amazing....the saltponds are completely full of small to medium size bait..which can be good and bad wink.gif

I was amazed at the amount of 1-1.5" rainbait in the Providence area yesterday morning. Couldn't find anything interested in it save for a tern or two.

Plenty for the albies and bones to eat later on.
