The only way to get carp with a fly is while the carp is eating. when a carp is rooting through the bottom try subsurface flies like nymphs, streamers etc. when they are clooping from the surface use dry flies like deer hair; which can mimic bread, or berries. carp will take a fly when it is well presented. make no noise, cast accurately & you may hook one but carp do not chase flies like other fish. your fly must be within 2 feet of their mouth when they are eating subsurface; then the fly should only be moved a few inches.

New Fiberglass Fly Rod 7'6" 3pc 5wt

A year and a half ago we set out to build a low-cost fiberglass fly rod based closely on those famous E@gleCl@w Featherlight rods. While those bright yellow rods have represented a great value for years, they're really the only option in that price range. We wanted ours to be a little bit different, so we chose a more packable, 3 piece configuration and gave them a unique color combination. We had no idea how great the demand for an inexpensive glass rod would be! We sold a ton of these rods-so thanks to everyone for their business!!

These rods are not heirloom quality, museum pieces by any stretch, they are low-cost, utility type rods and the price reflects just that. They are however, affordable, durable and really fun to fish with! This is the kind of rod you toss behind the seat of your truck or leave up at camp as a spare. They're great for kids! Perfect for someone just starting out, in fact, last year we sold quite a few of these rods to instructors as the slower action of glass is great for learning. With that said, I would put these up against the Featherlight any day of the week!! If you like the tradition, utility and price tag of those yellow rods but maybe want something a little different, you've found it! Best of all, our rod is priced at $14.95!! $5.00 less than the MSRP of the F/Light rods and a 3 section rod sock is included! ($4.00 value)

Features: Epoxyglass-high pressure laminate blank (same as the E/Claw), 8 stainless guides + tip, hook keeper, Densiwood reel seat and cork reverse wells grip. Rod ships in a black, 3 section, fabric sock.

This year, just for fun, we went with an extremely tongue-in-cheek representation of the T&T Heirloom colors. Apple green with orange/black accents.

There was a small running change in these rods, the first 100 I recieved came with the silver end cap as shown in the pics below-all rods now have a black plastic end cap, not a big deal, I just wanted to point it out!

If you have any questions please contact us through the Ebay message service.

this is where I got the 3 wt last year.
