I had the same feeling a little while ago. Lotsa crazy **** going on now, crazy natural disasters, people going nuts. Whatever, I just kind of lost focus and didn't really care after that.

we're past our sell by date. we've gone sour. lets review - recorded history starts what some 2000 years ago right? in that time, since they started jotting it down, right away we started paving the place. putting up coluseums and whatnot, knocking down trees, harvesting and concentrating resources in unnatural ways (lime production for early concrete comes to mind) basically disrupting the natural balance of things. and there needs to be balance, that much we know icon14.gif

fast fwd to today and now we are so technologically advanced we've become dependant on the unnatural things we make & do that poison the earth. look at the chemicals we use... where does it all go? theres a tipping point and we couldnt be getting there any faster if we tried. 90% of rainforests gone. 90% of oceanic fish populations compared to just 50 years ago - gone. steve irwin gone. umbrella species, mission critical resources, and any form of reasonable leadership are victims of our greed. our cities are crumbling and our society in death throes as we watch all the free porn you want. population sprawl is unsustainable. i stay up at night worrying, its not a pretty picture

Oh,Otter's right.

And, as a group, we've brought it on ourselves.

Let's face it, our species will eventually disappear as others have in the past.

But how will it end, and when?

There's so many possible scenarios.

If any of you Nostradamuses can give me about a 6 month heads-up on doomsday, I'd appreciate it.

There's a ****load of people I want to pay some, uh, "social calls" on. cwm13.gif

I can quit my job, stop paying my bills, and blow everything I have left on fishing **** and gas. It takes more than 6 months to foreclose on a mortgage these days, am I right?
