Anyone else headed up to Bonneville tomorrow?

Chinook counts still look good. Shad counts look decent. Weather looks like crap.

I'll be the guy in the blue/gray North Face jacket hauling in all the fish, or conversely, cussing to myself over yet another skunk wink.gif.

Omahundro, I though chinook season closed in april. If they (wdfw), opened chinook season, can you fish anywhere on the columbia for them?

If you can retain chinook right now, than I might go up to bonny tomorrow.

Fishing was so lousy, I left at noon.

I foul hooked one shad within 5 minutes of getting there, but that was sheer dumb luck. After that... nada. Tried plunking for chinook... nope.

Saw one guy who was plunking for salmon get a strike, but he missed the hookup. Groups of people were reporting 4-7 fish between them.

Just awful.

Went to Bonneville today around 7pm, hooked one chad on my first cast, but it unhooked itself right at the water line. I stayed there about one hour and no bites, it was too cold too stay any longer so I left home. Better luck next time I guess.
