View PostThey don't tip very well.

Speaking of that.....

I was in St.Johns one year, drinking up a storm and tipping like crazy. Waitresses LOVED me. I was thinking.."That's right ladies.....whose the American Sex Machine???"

Finally a dude leans over and says.."Uhhh....we don't really tip up here man..." cwm13.gif

I was hurt.

I bet you did, Panama Red.

But I agree with the stoner. I've had 13 lbers in restaurants, cooked a 12 at home as well as multiple 7's and 8's. All were tender and delicious.

The main reason, I believe, for large lobsters to be labeled as tough is people overcook the bigguns simply because they have no idea how long to cook them. Erring on the side of caution, they abuse the poor things.
