Off center turning question

Hey Folks,

Can anyone tell me how a plug will turn out when one end is slightly off center, maybe 1/4". If anyone has done this on purpose or by accident, have any pictures of what it looks like after?

You can get some oval shapes by turning off-center. Start with increments smaller than 1/4 inch. Don't have a photo handy, but if you use the search feature in the right hand side of the blue menu you can likely pull up some photos and additional info on how to do it. Note that off-center turning takes some time and skill to do correctly and safely. Not for beginners.

The amount of offset can increase with the size and dia of the plug and the desired shape... remember you can offset the front, back or both,,, always fun to see the shape a plug will take when doing them,,,,,

I did lots of different ones years ago and they have been good to me... and no they are not spooks,,,
