Tail loops and Danny's...

Having issues. I do my loops the "He who shall not be named" way from the video.

Works like a charm on any lipless plug. When you try it on a Danny, the nose loop twists in the slot badly. It's from holding the plug as the wire is spun.

Does anyone do it this way and not have an issue, or do I need to relearn this? I'm lost.

I wire the plug...make the loop.....clamp the loop in a vise.....put a small pair of visegrips on the tag end of the wire......grab the plug body and lightly pull on it to keep a little tension on things.......then wrap the wire to make the tail wrap....cutoff tag end. Done.

+1 If the newly formed tail loop is clamped in a vise, then finishing your wraps isn't going to twist the wire.
