Bait fish are white/ silver (eels are black/brown but what ever). There's a little purple, olive, pink and green in most all of them. Effective attractor patterns are yellow, red, CHARTREUSE, black. They all fish really hard under the right circumstances.

Irrespective of my observations, I find myself drawn to the earth tone pallet a couple times a year. This one is leaned out and minimal with a lot of empty shank. I like that every so often as well.

-2/0 600SP

-gold flash "tag" for 2/3 of the shank

-albino peacock low wing

-hi tie olive yak wing

-little flash mini wing

-cameo peacock (what got me fired up on the earth tones this time), folded/ wound.

-two olive saddles

-three dark brown saddles

-switch to black flat waxed

-JCs

I'll give it a swim in a few hours.

Thanks. The cameo peacock feather has a little differnt morphology from the other ones. The tip of the herl dithers into a fine curly filament. It's pretty neat.

I updated the pics so they're embedded. For some reason my Mac doesn't play this game the same way my PC does.
