ARB Vise

My new ARB vise came yesterday and I have tied exactly one fly with it.

I'll have to give it an "A" on the way it works. The jaws work great, better than the early jaws on my old Nor-Vise.

Unfortunately, it came with a clamp base and the upright portion is larger than the upright on my other vises.

It is not pretty and actually even a little crude when compared to a Renzetti but, at $29, I am not gonna gripe.

I need to tie a few Boogers the way the Nor-vise video shows. I expect it will work just fine. Chances are, this vise will outlast me.

I'm not into this old "Mine cost more than yours did" thing so am satisfied.

I bought the vise on E-Bay at a "Buy it now" price of $29.95.

They have a web site but I cannot post it here.

I really like the "In-Line" rotary vises. I loved my Nor-Vise and my son loves it now. I particularly like the center, knurled, thumb shaft and the hand crank. In the photo, the knurled shaft is blocked by the hand crank.

I am not into dubbing but this vise will whip out dubbing in a heartbeat.
