Trolling Tuna Plugs

Rate this topic

Here are some tuna plugs made from AYC and one with WRC all with lead heads. These have evolved over several years from antique and traditional samples from both the East Coast and Left Coast. They are abot 6" long and weigh approx. 3 oz. Thanks for all the help from this great gang on Surftalk.

A 9/0 or 10/0 needle eye hook on 150# to 300# leader. The eyes on smaller needle eye hooks are not big enough for heavy mono. The plug pictured has 200# Berkley so it can be used on handlines or rods. You can use SS wire also, there are several ways to rig them.
