What are your go to knots?

I'm sure over the years most of us have learned to tie a number of knots, but have decided only a few that really work best for you. What are they?

Mine are the uni knot (modified uni, uni to uni) eye crosser for my leader to clip and I think I've finally settled on an albright wraped 30x for braid to leader.

I used to be...

Improved Clinch - mono to terminal tackle

Palomar - braid to terminal tackle

...But now pretty much use Palomar for everything.

Hard to get it wrong. On the IC, you have to get those coils to stack up nicely or the knot is compromised. If find it tough to do this consistently with 60-80lb leader material. I do use the IC in freshwater with lines of 2-17lbs.

Palomar

Clinch

Surgeons

Spider Hitch

Uni

Not to hijack but is there a significant differnce between in performance of the clinch vs improved clinch? Is it just additional assurance that the tag end wont slip?
