Al Ristori with words of wisdom

We have no right to choose to obey only those laws we agree with, and there's no excuse not to respect New York's regulations. Anglers there are justifiably upset when they see out-of-staters killing short (under 28-inch) bass in their waters, just as New Jersey skippers were outraged when New York boats were loading up with blackfish in our waters last fall, when we were limited to one tautog, before New Jersey marine law enforcement finally put an end to that.

(**the above from Mr. Ristori's column in the Star Ledger yesterday)

Words of least once you get past the stuff about all the stripers everyone is having to release due to the present regulations - maybe I'm nutz, but isn't "conservation" supposed to involve releasing fish? Isn't a reduction in harvest supposed to mean letting more fish go than in the past? smile.gif Anyway, I found the quote above to be right on and well said icon14.gif
