^^this comment will no doubt earn ME a slapdown^^

No we'll get to that, just give us a while to get together the voluminous evidence of Obama's hardcore leftist tendencies. Gonna take a while, and I could use some help actually.

He's a Democrat, I have little doubt he has leftist tendencies.

I understand that Ideologically speaking a Republican would rather have a Republican in office.

I am talking about the MAJOR gripes, that lead to assertions of Obama destroying our freedoms and liberties.

real actual policy being pushed forth.

what is he doing that makes you guys feel he's pushing us toward socialism and wants to infringe upon our rights and freedoms?

DIALECTICAL MARXISM

The Writings of Bertell Ollman

"Marx divides the communist future, as I've indicated, into halves, a first stage, or socialism, which is often referred to as the "dictatorship of the proletariat", and a second stage that is also called "full communism". The historical boundaries of the first stage are set in the claim that, "Between capitalist and communist society lies the period of the revolutionary transformation of the one into the other. There corresponds to this also a political transition period in which the state can be nothing but the revolutionary dictatorship of the proletariat."

Socialism is "Marxism light."

View Postdoes that translate into any specific actions that Obama has taken?

or just rhetoric designed to sow fear in a Democratic President?

Without fear, what good is a warning?

It's what he has promised to do.....

When I'm President, I will raise the minimum wage and make it a living wage by making sure that it rises every time the cost of living does. I'll start letting our unions do what they do best again, organize our workers and lift up our middle-class. And I'll finally make sure every American has affordable health care that stays with you no matter what happens by passing my plan to provide universal coverage and cut the cost of health care by up to $2500 per family

I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody

What he has done

The Economic Stimulus Bill, chock a block full of pork, waste and paybacks

Health Care "reform"

Copenhagen

And what he plans to do

Cap and trade.

Cardcheck.

I would go on, but then I wouldn't be able to make enough to support three or four families on the dole.

The Food and Drug Administration is planning an unprecedented effort to gradually reduce the salt consumed each day by Americans, saying that less sodium in everything from soup to nuts would prevent thousands of deaths from hypertension and heart disease. The initiative, to be launched this year, would eventually lead to the first legal limits on the amount of salt allowed in food products.

The government intends to work with the food industry and health experts to reduce sodium gradually over a period of years to adjust the American palate to a less salty diet, according to FDA sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the initiative had not been formally announced.

Officials have not determined the salt limits. In a complicated undertaking, the FDA would analyze the salt in spaghetti sauces, breads and thousands of other products that make up the $600 billion food and beverage market, sources said. Working with food manufacturers, the government would set limits for salt in these categories, designed to gradually ratchet down sodium consumption. The changes would be calibrated so that consumers barely notice the modification.
