Nice tie. Are you tying the hackles around the hook shank in any specific manner? Looking to tie a couple for these lures I grabbed at the Plum Island show.

You can alternate sides…play with how you trim them/ how you layer stuff… etc..to get them to flare differently.

Going to probably have to grab some longer pink/purple hackles but appreciate the insight. My first attempt. It’ll catch (hopefully), but nowhere near as pretty as yours @HugeDinghy. Going to have to play around with the layout as you mentioned.
