At your mercey here; going to a a conference at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in late April and taking the wife. Need a hotel from the attached list near the historical sites so she can walk there while I walk to the convention center. Anyone see any on the attached?

Gov't Center stop on Green Line = Fanuel Hall (from subway exit, walk NE past Gov't building for about 5 minutes, down some stairs)...Lot's of shopping and good restaurants. 'North End' Italian eats is just a few minute walk from there - visit Mike's Bakery. Freedom Trail starts here (if you flyfish, there also an Orvis shop there)

Kenmore Sq stop on Green Line = Some good drinking spots and Fenway Park (if you're interested in seeing what that looks like from the outside)

Downtown Crossing stop on Red Line = More shopping for wife (Fanuel Hall has that too)

Park St stop (Red and Green line) = Boston Common

Aquarium Stop on Blue Line = (You guessed itcwm27.gif ) New England Aquarium

Subway is very easy to use in this city and very easy to understand maps of the subway system are posted at virtually every stop

Parker house is ok - stayed there a few times

Rooms aren't big - it's an old hotel but it's right near the Orphieum and the Commons - easy enough walk from there to most places

There's a Sheraton in Bos as well - nicer hotel but not as good a location IMO
