Hairjigs and the scent left by bleach and cement

When I get to the spot and would start to rig the jigs, I still smell the cement and nail polish (for the older and used jigs I've tied in the past). They don't cause anything profound to not catch fish. I catch fish with them (period). But my curiosity goes to how a different scent would make it better. Fish strike both out of impulse/reflex/drive/whatever and when other senses are triggered to meet the predatory sensation. Surely, the sense of smell is one of them.

How do you guys handle the scent of newly tied flies/jigs? Do you dip them in a homemade concoction or let them be?
