Click on the links above to see photos of the rod and reel. I have still have the original box and paperwork for the reel. The cork above the reel seat is still covered in the protective covering.

Yup, a steal on that vice.

Interested in thew Harris...is that more ofr a 9-wt reel, or suitable for an 8-wt (the 400-gr line might be good for my 9-wt)? Would you do $100 if I could meet you for the reel (no $10 shipping)?

PS: nice shots of you yakkin @ Mattawoman. I'm in DC, live in Reston, yak the river a lot for smallies, but been wanting to do Mattawoman for a while. Caught any snakehead?

My mistake the line on the reel is 330 grain. I just rechecked the box. The reel is a perfect fit for an 8 or 9 weight rod and could be used on a 10 too I'd say. I'd meet you some where if possible as you mentioned. I'm all the way down in St. Mary's County on the weekends though. I'm work in DC a couple of days a week and and I'm in Waldorf area during the week.

I have caught a snake head. I caught on a wake bait. There are a pretty fair amount of them in Mattawoman now. It's a great creek, much different than years ago when you fished lily pads. Now you fish the hydrilla in front of the spatterdock. Kayak would work well int Aquia and Potomac creeks too.
