I came to El Salvador on the 22 of Dic from Charlotte (finally done with School!) and the 27 I was fishing!!!!

surf fishing in here has been incredible, people were hooking monster snooks every day!!

my first day of fishing, I did spinning and jiggng for jacks on a boat, we hook around 20 on the afternoon.

the next day, I went surf fishing, the first fish was a #15 toro! the next thing was a 26 1/4 LBS Black snook! then many many (around 20-30 toros) and 4 roosters. and the last fish of that day was a 27 1/2 snook!

here some pictures of that day:

Then on the 6 of january I started the day with a big 30 pound snook! followed by many toros, and 9 roosters and a snook that I hooked while fishing for roosters, this snook hit a ranger at max speed!

special thanks to Mike Fixter for a lure that is a hit for jacks and roosters @ El Salvador!!!!!

here some photos of the day :

my first fish with the mike fixter lure!

ALl fish were released but the 2 first snooks and 2 roosters that had the lure way back on the throat

hope you enjoy!

That is unreal. Those pictures are awesome!!!!!!! I was in Costa Rica 8 yrs a ago and wasn't into surf fishing yet and remember seeing guys fishing. If I only knew then what I know now.

I did get a few sails off a boat but that Rooster fish is the one fish at the top of my list of fish to catch and to think I can do it from the surf is great.

View PostOustanding! clapping.gif Very impressive fish... and nice tackle! How do you like the SW? Is that the 10000?

Could be the 8000SW but it might be the 1000SW Stella. 44lbs of drag & as smooth as a hot knife going through butter. I'm sure you had a ball with the Rooster fish on that reel! heart.gif
