Ever snag a porgy on a slug-o?

I catch lobsters regularly on Sluggos. It's tons of fun trying to unhook and release them. It's a 3 handed job.

And before anyone asks why I release them:

1) I don't have a lobster license

2) Even if I did have a lobster license the only way to legally take them from shore is by trapping them.

3) And in any event, I usually catch them at night and it's illegal to take lobsters at night.

4) They're almost all undersized and often they're egg bearers or notched females.

Oh I will that's for sure! I had meant to put a bunch of extra hooks on the boat but then forgot. I was fishing around Block Island on vacation there. Notice the fog? It looks like a poor picture but the visability was about 40ftcwm31.gif

I didn't, but my friend did last month. We were getting raps on the Sluggos, but were missing. Finally, my friend sets up on a fish, and said it felt weird. Reels it in, and it's a 2lb. porgy, snagged in the head. It helps explain some of the missed hits though. It not us biggrin.gif .
