Japanese rod specs?

Probably a stupid question, but what does this mean?

Max load:

45degrees(6kg)

90degrees(4kg)

Now the rod has a line rating of PE4. I've read that equates to around 40LB test line. However, I have also read that the PE rating is just the diameter of the line (not necessarily the strength)?

it means that when you're holding the rod at a 45degree angle, the load is it can take is 6#. when you hold the rod at a 9degree angle, the rod can take 4# then it breaks.

all rods follow the smae principle. the ideal fighting position t0o maximize the rods power is at 45degree angle, you go past 90degrees and thats high sticking and thats when yous ee your tip breaks.

PE4 = 30#

convert the number in the PE to 10 and then subtract 10, then you get the equivalent.

PE2 =10#

PE3= 20#

PE4 = 30#

PE5= 40#

PE6 = 50#
