A new batch of small stuff I have been doing well with this year. They are all handcarved scrap cherry, 4.5" (body) and weigh about an ounce. They stay just subsurface and dart side to side with the right 'spook-like' retrieve. Unemployment/job hunting has kept me from the work bench a bit lately, but I couldn't stay away for long. smile.gif

Small enough for freshwater too... which I may try today. cwm40.gif

(The lazy-Ike style plug also in the pic floats at rest and dives about 5 feet and wiggles and wobbles strongly)

View PostThose top three would be tuna killers!!!!!

I have 6x VMC HW, want a field tester? biggrin.gif

I would love to have ya field test one but I would definitely have to go with a through-wire on these for tuna and beef up the hook but I guess it could be done. The weight positions/type would have to change to make room for the wire... hmm... back to the bench. cwm40.gif

They are probably ok for small tunoids now.
