View PostVery sad but necessary...too bad a truly great pitcher has to go out in this style. But it's one of those 'you gotta do what you gotta do' things

Here's the story:

Yeah it was a bit sad watching last night. Granted he was facing a great lineup, but he looked like a pitcher without a single weapon out there.

Havent heard anything about Traber.

I'm surprised that the game extended yet another extra inning while he was pitching...he was in no way a mystery to be solved right from his very first pitch. The fact that it took until the Yankees second inning of batting against him before they won the game is still a mystery to me. And Theo said he was a 4 pitch pitcher...he only showed two last night and one of them was getting shot all over the ball park.

We threw Aceves and Bruney .

Aceves has been fairly good, but not what one would consider lights out.

Girardi did you guys a favor by pitching Hughes for ONE batter??

He would have been crucified if they lost, and justifiably so. As it was a bonehead move.
