Che Obama, what a man!!!!

Oh, I thought the war against terror is over. The White House just issued a statement saying that we can't use that term anymore. If that's the case and the war against terror is over, did we just kill this guy for nothing?

View PostDid Bush bring down Saddam?

Bush made the policy which brought Saddam down and has given 25 million Iraqis the opportunity for freedom, peace and prosperity. I know because backstabbing, liberal scum have been crying about it for the past six years.

Bush also launched the "predator operations" over Afgan and Pakistan which have killed a number of Taliban/AQ leaders. Your boy, Che, just continued the program unless you can point out something your Messiah did to make it new or better.

I'll wait.

Knight.

I guess i will re-hash.

1. We went there not give them their freedom, but out of fear that Saddam would attack us. the freedom angle became an afterthought after no WMD found. But hey if it works out ok.

2. The criticism was leveled by people who believed (and still do) the more important fight was with Taliban in the tribal regions of Afghanistan and Pakistan and that Iraq may have been a costly diversion of military resources.

Now to my original point.

My point was simply that Presidents can start policies or continue or discontinue previous policies. Therefore it is ultimately to their credit or blame.

To listen to some here you might have expected him O to cancel the program. He did not.

I don't think ANY POTUS, except maybe Bush Sr. has had crap to do with anything our Military does.

It's all the Generals, and guys over their making the kills and decisions and never getting credit.

It's really always been that way anyways....minus a few Presidents with any real experience in combat.

Either way...another moron terrorist killed, so GG America. Let's keep it up.

No, we went for about 50 different reasons, many of them strategic in the fight against the people who had been attacking us for many years. As I've said before, see Bush's speech before the UN. WMD was overplayed by the Admin. and the media as the main reason for war.

But in the end, it came down to this, we will never truly "win" in Afgan because of the geopolitics and the terrain there. Iraq, much more civilized and in the heart of the muslim world was considered the best place to take on and defeat AQ...while getting rid of a monster who killed 600,000 of his own people, started three wars and supported terrorists. A two-fer.

Did we do it as best we could? No, I've complained about the overall approach to Iraq and the War against Terror in general for the past six years. But going into Iraq was a good move and, after much screwing up, seems to be working. AQ has been pretty much defeated there and discredited in the muslim world.

As to getting this guy, good. Kill more of them. But it is not a scalp to hang on Obama's door.
