Matt ( the gut in the vid )is well known for stunt fishing. He's caught big bluefin tuna on a hand line / Marlin while on a jetski etc.

Don't you think the marlin would feel the rotor wash from the chopper?

Also, they just happened to have a cameraman in the water next to the fish... kooky.gif

Was a cool video - but thought the same thing as Chris when I first saw it.

Pelagic predatory fish are often attracted to surface turbulence, that being said.. I don't think its as real as they make it out to be.

View PostIt is real. I don't know the story, but i suspect that they had probably just caught the fish and worn it down, and put somebody in the water with a camera.

exactly what i was thinking.... it's a setup.... if that fish was not tired out it would easily swim out of his grasp as soon as he got near.... wannabe cool guy.... freak.gif

now if he really wanted to impress people he should jump on the back of a full strength Blue Marlin that was just feeding topside.... i'd be really impressed as the Marlin cuts him into ribbons for being annoying...tongue.gif
