and last........................ok, what's the fancy with that fruity minty drink.

I ordered one at a disney resort I took the kids to for the weekend and saw one on the menu, remembering KOQ's fondness for the drink I figured, what the heck..........after the kids laughed at it when it was delivered, I tried and wa unimpressed.

Is it an aquired taste.....and do men actually drink them in company of other men.biggrin.gif

Point, my son made him cry, I just enjoyed the look on his pops face. And the tears hitting the jeter jersey just a tiny bit.

I like Mint Jelups, not mojitos. I mean, Mojitos are OK, but they aren't what I consider a go to drink.

your go-to drink is a strawberry daiquiri or a Bartles and Jaymes wine cooler

That mojito might taste differently if you order it on a beach on a tropical island, with no kids around. With some island music playing in the background. Might be easier to acquire a taste for it that way.

View Posta well made Mojito is very good,

my guess is at a Disney resort they are pouring from a big jug of premade mix.

Exactly. Any cocktail made at home is likely to be infinantly better than one made at a bar, let alone a resort, frozen fruity things on the beach in the tropics notwithstanding.

I make all my cocktails with fresh squeezed juice, mint my wife grows, my own simple syrup. A good mojito shouldn't be sweet as there should only be enough sugar to mellow the tartness of the the lime. The mint will make it taste fresh and smell good, and the club soda will be refreshing and clear the palate, but allow the rum to hum along.

Any good cocktail is all about balance. Throw off the balance and you go from pleasant and enjoyable to fruity and ghey.
