Dock Bass/Wacky Style

7 posts in this topic

I fished today at my local lunchtime bass lake and was not doing very well. It was nice and cloudy and I was a little confused as to why no bass were biting. I only had about 40 minutes to fish and time was running out. I knew bass were there but couldn't get them to bite. I tried something I had not tried before. I held the worm about a foot from the dock and dropped it down about 18 inches. I then shook the worm very fast, but only moving the tip of the rod 1 or 2 inches. I landed 3 bass in 5 minutes then had to leave. Work is really getting in the way of my fishingfrown.gif

If you're not catching sometimes you just have to mix it up a littlewink.gif

A wacky rigged worm can be skipped under docks as well enabling you to get the lure way back underneath where the lunkers hidewink.gif
