Trying to shake up Politics

The more I read on here, the more I realize that noone is really doing anything about the situation we are in. I am actually talking to Marty Golden here in Bay Ridge to see wht I can do to get some actions rolling about the democrats in the senate out.

I will tell you this, it is like pushing an 18 wheeler up a hill by yourself, but I am trying.

Now I ask all of you who argue and debate what should been done, are you doing anything, but arguing and or debating?

Some have belittled me some don't like me and some, well they are libs. You people can say what you want but actions speak louder than words... Just saying.smile.gif

Instead of debating why not be proactive and do something, I am.

What say you?

View PostDebating is being pro active IMO.

Ideas are formed, and some of them keep moving up the ladder to eventually become law or policy.

Debating in a forum and doing nothing, yields nothing. Meeting with your congress idiot and trying to get something done is doing something.

Now I ask again what anyone here has done or is going to do in the near future?

so your idea of doing something other than partisan squabbling is to work to throw out democrats and elect republicans?

I'd say working to help WORTHY Republicans win a nomination is more important that just working on behalf of anyone with an R after their name.

Its your opinion that discussing things, whether its on the internet or the water cooler at work is doing nothing.

BEing aware of whats going on is what will help us get out of this mess. One of our main problems was trusting our government to do the right thing without really watching over them.

I think our close eye will give us better results then our pre head in the sand mentality

I don't want all Democrats out, just the progessive ones with the socialistic agenda. There are a few Dems that havecommon sense and those are the happy medium in congress.

I do want more (True) Conservative in both houses, not all, but more. We need to have it even in there and have a rule that it must stay this way to keep balance, because to much of one majority is just bad, and that has proven itself time and time again.

I don't want a leftist nation of weenies and loonies. I want fare and balanced. This was fare and balanced a long time ago, and I want it that way again.

This majority thing has got to go, because all it does is make a vicious circle that only ends up screwing the tax payer.

I agree that having an eye on everything going on should be done by the people, but what about the ignorant voters who will elect this guy Obama in again, because he is going to give them pipe dreams and they will fall for it again.

They surely out number who vote on what a person did before his running, ie. bills they were on, lobbying they did ect...

Obama won because of the Republican Party. IMO it really didnt matter who was the Democratic nomonie.... There was NO way a republican was going to win. People felt they had their chance and royally screwed it up.

Depending on what happens with our economy in the coming months and years will pretty much be the sole reason what happens to Obama at the end of 4 years.

All this talk about people being stupid for voting Obama, but really they voted against republicans. And to be honest, can you blame them?

I call a spade a spade. I am not PC nor will I ever be. I say what's on my mind, just like everyone else should.

PC is what got us into this evil bed.

You know the sayings,

There are no losers, everybody is a winner.

Oh don't say a person is retarded, he is special.

He is not slow he has HDSD, or ADD and all that BS.

I can go on and on. These are all liberal terminologies and this was the begining of their agenda.

They paint everything as lolipops and rainbows, when life isn't like that at all.

There are winners and losers in everything. I will tell you one thing I have lost more than I have won, but that only makes me work that much harder.

When you take that out of the equation (Winning and Losing) you lose all ambition to succeed and that is happening now. I don't have to worry about anything they will take care of me. That mentality has to stop. No one on this earth gets a free pass, no one.

This life we live is survival of the fittest and only the strong survive. This is natures play book not to be tampered with at any level.

Whenever I start to get lazy I listen to the first verse of this song ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roEvfT-gT0Q&feature=related" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roEvf...eature=related ) and get my ass up and going, because I make things happen for myself, I don't need the help of anyone...
