Pliobond vs. Liquid tape

On my conv. stuff I usually coat the knot between main & shock with pliobond to help seize the knot, and more importantly to offer a smoother transition to the guides.

While working the boat wiring, I noticed the "Brush-on Electrical Tape" is almost the same flexibility, penetrating, etc. But, it's nowhere near as sticky after it's dried. Plus it doesn't stick to itself when dry.

Anyone have any experience using this in place of the Plio?

Think it'll work as well?

I like the "assorted colors" idea. wink.gif

I have used this stuff for wiring work, but not on knots. That said, I don't see why it would not work.

In fact, I think you should try it and get back to usbiggrin.gif

I can't cast a big rod right now, so I would actually appreciate the legwork on your idea.smile.gif
