I was walking along a river this afternoon, when I saw from across the river a guy was reeling a fish in. He landed it took the hook out of its mouth and held it in the air. The fish was 20" AT MOST. He turned around and stuffed it in a cooler just big enough to fit a 12 pack. I don't get itconfused.gif

What kind of fish, a striper? Most fish in Connecticut rivers are legal to keep no matter what size they are, stripers of course must be 28". If you're sure it was an illegal under size fish call EnConn 860-242-3333 or the Wildlife Violation Line 860-842-4357.

View PostYes it was a striper. Why ask a question like what don't you get?headscratch.gif

Was this your first encounter with poaching? Do you need guidance on what to do in the future?

So again, yes, what don't you "get"? The same scenario probably ocurred 50 times in different locations in southern New England yesterday.
