I can hit 'gansett bay with two throws of a football, but its the upper bay..I am an hour from south county beaches, 45 minutes from newport, about a half hour from SE mass spots, and an hour from the ditch.

1/4 mile more or less depending on which way I walk. @ hours plus is way too far away for me, they'd lock me up in the looney bin if I lived that far from salt water

From NE Philly it takes me about 2 to 2 1/2 hours to reach Wildwood NJ area. Same drive time for Long Beach Island.
