My phone has a 3.something megapixel camera, so it does just fine. I usually don't bring a regular camera, and I keep the phone in a waterproof otter box in my Aquaskinz pounch.

Here are three cell phone pics that tell me...not to ever forget my digital camera again (the one which you probably wont be able to tell what it is, is actually a small sand tiger I caught in the Cape Cod Canal a year and a half ago - it's camo'd amongst the rocks)cwm27.gif

Again, depends on the cell phone.

Here are a few pics from work that I just pulled off my phone, not fishing related, but keep in mind these are cell phone pics.

Those are taken with my Samsung Flip Shot... Google it, it's pretty cool. It's almost like a digital camera that became a cell phone as an afterthought.

I'm a field biologist and doing some projects right now on the use of cell phones for biological and environmental data collection. Resolution and quality of images that can be captured by some models have improved greatly over the past couple of years.
