View PostHmmmm......Reminds me a little bit of the Heckler & Koch P9S.

Not an entirely safe weapon, apparently.

I wanna get a polymer .45 ACP.

Had a G21 but it was too big for my mitts.

I Like the look of the new stainless Taurus 845 .45 ACP.

Taurus has another new .45 ACP polymer pistol called the 2045.

It's DAO.

View PostIs that gun dirty or is it just a poor finish?

Or is that how most guns look?

It looks like worn parkerizing on that slide.

Or maybe worn black oxide which MAY be a little similar to parkerizing.

Blued guns with wear can look that way too.

Well, you've mentioned a few .45's, but the "slick" is a 9mm...

If you have the ability, try to find a gun shop or range that will let you shoot some different pistols.

As you correctly point out, different guns fit different hands.

I like Springfield XD's, but when I dress down, a favorite is a Bersa Thunder .380. Smaller, shoots good, points good.

Been shooting 30 years or so and recently "converted" to 9mm because 21st century hollow points are so good.

Really love the nine now but have 3 new ones and may get a few more.

Haven't had a new .45 ACP in years.

The XD hurts (a little) the heel of my hand when I grip it.

The grip is a little too big for me.

The new XD M is beautifully styled.

I noticed that the last time I shot my 45, it hurt a little. I'm in the early stages of arthritis, and it is only going to get worse. frown.gif Hence, I'm beginning to enjoy shooting my 9mm Hi-Power, more and more. (And one more reason to get back into my riflery.)

And you're correct, sir. The XD is one heck of a nice piece.

I have my eyes on a Glock, but a friend of mine tells me that Glock says no lead bullets through their pistolas. This seems rather strange to me, and, as at least 50% of my handgun shooting ammo has lead heads, a possible deal breaker. cwm13.gif

You can shoot lead in a glock if you replace barrel with an aftermarket barrel. Glocks have polygonal rifling and lead build up is dangerous they say.

I'm not much of a pistol guy, but that Vektor looks like a HK VP 70z if you go for that "melted" look.

Vektor also used to make first class reproduction magnum Mauser actions, if come across one, let me know wink.gif

Lichum, Check out the M&P line up. Not nearly as "blocky" as the Glocks are. Downright comfortable. The .45c will be my next purchase.

View PostAny love for the Warthog Lichum?

One of those with a meltdown job would be kind of niceheart.gif

If by Warthog you mean the A 10 tank buster, yes I like it but it would be a little big!

It's one nasty airplane!

If you mean something else by Warthog, enlighten me.
