Anyone use the Teeny Dan Marini Striper line?

What are your thoughts?

How tangle free is it?

How long is the head?

Thinking of getting the 475gr for my 10 weight.

Thanks

IMHO 475gr head for 10wt SH rod is quite heavy for OH casting. OH casting 475gr head is hard with any 9ft SH rod.

If you cast large and heavy flys I would use short head but heavy for its lenght. I use 30ft and less and max 400gr for 10wt.

I am not sure on the specs of the line but I have the 375 on my 8 wt and I like it a lot. easy to cast, quick to sink, and as tangle free as any other line I own.

it's a pretty good line. the head is a little longer than 30' (with no front taper I think) to encourage trimming some back to match the specific rod.

Mine is for boat or inlet and I just checked and they don't make it any more - 350 30' tip with red backing which I use on a 9 for 9 GLX.
