Modeled after a 7'' Mackerel popper...

First hand-carve and I had a lot of fun...I don't know what kind of wood it its, cut it from a nice piece out of my wood pile. A yellowy, red kind of wood, pretty hard but worked well.

My process was: Ax, hatchet, chisel (to get shape main shape), knife to work smooth, then dremel for eyes, mouth, gills, and sanding.

Overall its about 7'' almost as thick in diameter as a quarter.

Poor, and waiting to make some money so I can order some screw eyes, epoxy, split rings, and hooks!! Need to test this baby in the water!

Got my air brush, gonna see what i can get going with it as soon as it know it floats ok. So far, it floats on either side but I believe centered screw eyes with hooks will straighten it out...Thinking about led weights too....
