Old plug hardware...

I didn't know they ever made a saltwater version....

 

Can we see more pics?

mini you hit your first snag in the old lure build. Most of the hardware your going to need to replicate the old styles are not made. So you have to do some metal work to get what your looking for. Either try and replicate it or figure out a new "improved method" to replicate the hook holder. Same will go with old fashioned hangers, cotter pins and certain types of metal lips.

The saltwater bass oreno was nick named the king basser, like heddon's plug, in the 50's it was named the King Oreno and was made with the break away rear hook thingy i am lookin for.

I have some ideas on how to go about making some but would love to find a stash of old held over hardware. Should be fun making this plug in a new and "improved" version.smile.gif

An old guy told me you could make what you are looking for out of a fuse holder. Where you get those, however, I do not know (if you find a source pm me please)

try your local boat yard or marine catologe...there on older fuse panels
