Tuf-Glide dry film replacement for oils & silicones.

Picked this up at the last gun show and was wondering if anyone had tried it in there reels? and if so how did it work?

I have been using that stuff to lubricate my knives forever.

It dries completely, and then I put oil on top of it.

I have used it in bearing applications, mostly because it does bond to the metal and it is VERY good for corrosion resistance. I oil on top of it because I dont like the bearings without lube.

If you are looking to use your reel in the surf I would oil on top, if not you could prob go with it dry.

Have been a HUGE fan of it for my knives for 10 years. I used the marine tuf-cloth as well to wipe certain metals down. The cloth is basically a silky cloth embedded with tuf-glide.

Take a kitchen knife and spread a drop out on the knife with your finger and let it dry. Then look in the light at what is left, run your finger over that and let me know what you think.
