What are some of the most reliable light pound test Fluorocarbon leader manufactures? Looking for 20#, 30# and 40# material on 10# and 12# Mono for soft bait fishing around Connecticut Shoreline jetties. Would appreciate you sharing your experiences.

I like seaguar too, more supple than Vanish but tough too, only it's pretty expensive. Curouis about the triple fish stuff, it's much cheaper than alternatives...

When making rigs ie. fishfinder/highlow should i use fluorocarbon or is 50 or 80 lb mono leader ok? fishing mostly sand

Unless you are bone or permit fishing in gin clear water, mono is more than enough. The extra money could be used to buy better terminal tackle.

 

50 is good for smaller bass and blues(Early Spring). 80 is better for bigger bass and blues (Later Spring).

Ande Fluoro is a little cheaper.

 

I agree with the others, don't think it's necessary unless your targeting spooky fish in clear water.

 

The only fish I use it for up here is tuna, albies, and bones
