I'll do you one better......It's not just the illegals. All immigration needs to be stopped or at least greatly reduced for the foreseeable future.

How about holding the EMPLOYERS of ILLEGALS responsible?

Why blame poor people fighting to earn a living

when it's the CEOs which profit at the American Publics' expense?

This is class warfare.

It pits the working poor of America against illegal immigrants

who are ONLY here because Corporate America gives them a job.

The corporate elite must find great amusement watching average

Americans fight over the few table scaps they throw us cwm13.gif

That's easy punish those who employ illegal labor, not the workers.

When the cost is greater than the reward for breaking the law

illegal immigration will dramatically slow.

Punk, do you have anything to support your assertion that rich CEO's and big corporations are the reason we have a bunch of illegal immigrants? I know where I work you have to have all appropriate paperwork and I think that goes for the vast majority of corporations. The laws are pretty strict and I don't see corporations trying to circumvent them so that they can hire a bunch of unskilled cheap illegal labor that can't speak English.

(I wouldn't have a problem with dealing very harshly with corporations that routinely hire illegals).

And then how with they pay their rent? I say nip it in the bud and stop them at the boarder. Kinda hard to employ them if they aren't here, isn't it?

" I say nip it in the bud and stop them at the boarder."

I wouldn't have as much a problem with that either but as long as people and company's are waving cheese at these people they are gonna try and cross our boarder. To me I'd like to see a joint solution. Something at the boarder and harsh penalty for hiring them.

Yes, the building bust in the sand states have seen a HUGE

exodus of illegal labor since the market went belly up.

Lots of one way bus tickets BACK to Mexico.

Now who was fueling and profiting from that housing boom headscratch.gif

How about the meat packing industry?

How many corporations have been busted

with hundreds of illegal laborers?

Who runs and profits from those corporations headscratch.gif

I could go on, as well as cite news reports but I think this will suffice

for now, or you can google the if you have doubts.

Which costs US the taxpayer more...

militarizing the nations borders or

investigating and prosecuting criminal corporate conduct?

Seems like a no brainer that would also serve to "nip it in the bud"

Once word is out that there are no jobs in the USofA, as is happening now,

the tide of illegals will and is diminishing.

All means all...meaning legal immigration also. We let too many legally into this country to be able to sustain it.

If I had to guess, investigation and prosecution cost more and takes more time.

But, fine, if that's the case I say punish them all.

The illegals for being here.

The corps for hiring them.

And in the cases where we the citizens are culpable, them too. Take landscapers, as an example. You hire a landscaper with illegals, you get busted too.

Everyone.

View PostI'd have to agree. The people hiring/paying the illegals are more of the problem then the illegals themselves.....

John

Yep.

Paraphrasing Doug Stanhope: "If you're worried about an uneducated, non-English speaking guy that has no documentation and just recently started wearing shoes taking your job, you have bigger problems than illegal immigration."
