Chuck roast

Aprox. 3lb chuck roast

 

0ne and a half cans of Campbells cream of mushroom soup

 

One packet of lipton onion soup mix

 

line pyrex dish or similar w/foil for easier cleanup

 

place roast in dish, tightly wrap in foil

 

pour campbells soup over roast then sprinkle soup mix

 

cook at 325 for 3.5 hours

 

and serve with mashed potatoes and veggies

 

I made this last weekend , the roast was very tender and tasty. The wife liked it and even my fussy 16mo. old devoured it. This reciep is easy and chuck roast is fairly inexpensive per pound.

My family love it... We call it "Cheap Meat". So when my kids say "Hey Dad when are going to have Cheap Meat again?" I always see to get the "Father of the Year" Look...

We wrap it with aluminum foil for a "air tight" seal and open it for the last hour and throw some potatoes in the mix. Might add some extra cream of mushroom in the beginning for that extra gravy for the meat and potatoes.
