Injection mold plastic plugs exact copy of some Gibbs stuff, canal special pencil and a polaris, Maybe Yankee lures I forget. Anyway they were high shine chrome but didn't stand up for crap. There isn't much chrome left on them now, just the purple plastic underneath but they sure looked sweet un fished. what's the secret word for tonight Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
smellfish Posted February 5, 2009 Report Share Posted February 5, 2009 Metallization was almost $1.00 each in volume and then there was a ridiculous tooling charge for each size but the real problem was still durability or the lack there of .... the guy did Rattle Traps regularly but I don't think they take a beating like a surf plug. If you had an "IN" with one of those shops ... you could probably squeeze a few Super Stikes out of them. Everything looks better in chrome .... I saw some plugs that BigRock did with large flake glitter and they looked like they had a lot of flash ... not like chrome but still very cool. Don't stop ... Retrieving ...
