Anyone interested in a freshwater lure?

I think they used to call similar lures like these Woodpeckers, but they did not have the spinner blade on the front. I have no clue who or what manufacturer made this one. The lure measures 6"L x 1 1/4" dia. at it's widest portion and 1" in diameter throughout the rest. The hook hangers seam to be stationary wired through. The lip is concave. Any Idea?headscratch.gif

I would of guessed Heddon or Southbend. Style is a woodpecker (pre 1930's)but the body, front spinner blade and length are not comparable with either co mentioned (could be a early custom built)headscratch.gif Looks to be pretty good shape for an old lure thoughbiggrin.gif bubs

I would have to consider it homemade. It doesn't fit the look of most woodpecker style plugs that I have seen of have idexed in my books. Back in the days of old, there were plenty of builders just like today, and they had mucho talent.
