Again Prove Me Wrong... $335 for STD's

Again libs, prove me wrong... Prove that this bill isnt the worst thing for the American people

Democrats may have eliminated provisions in the "job stimulus" on birth control and sod for the National Mall -- but buried on page 147 of the bill is economic stimulation for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases!

The House Democrats' bill includes $335 million for sexually transmitted disease (STD) education and prevention programs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

In the past, the CDC has used this STD education funding for programs that many Members of Congress find objectionable and arguably unrelated to a mission of economic stimulus [such as funding events called "Booty Call" and "Great Sex" put on by an organization that received $698,000 in government funds.]

"Whether this funding has merit is not the question; the point is it has no business in an economic plan supposedly focused on job creation," says a stimulated Hill source.

I think at this point the burden of proof is on you to prove you have any clue what you're talking about.

Health care, including birth control, family planning, and disease control, is a good thing to support when the economy tanks.

hold on

let's get this right

Pelosi wanted money to go to contraception because more contraception could mean less babies born meaning less money having to be spent by the government to pay for health care, education, etc....

But now, she let them add something to the bill that makes us pay for STD education?

I don't understand that.

Shouldn't she be cheering on STDs, especially ones like AIDS and HIV, since they can lead to death and less people?

Its his way of drawing attention away from the facts - he never is one for dealing with the facts

That's way too generic. Effective versions of all of the above are good things always. How it's delivered is the issue. There's nothing worthwhile about wasteful programs that are driven by social agendas rather than by good science.
