How to survive a Tiger attack

Chances are, you won't.

Tigers and big cats are ambush predators.

The big cats (aside from Leopard) will apply a thoracic bite. Either from behind, over your shoulder, or behind the arm.

On larger prey, they clamp down on the face (snout, muzzle) and asphyxiate their prey.

While this is happening the front paws will pin the forward extremities and the rear claws will be used to lacerate the prey's abdomen/lower torso and hind legs.

When Roy (of Sigfried and Roy) got carried off by the friendly Montecore, the tiger carried Roy in a classic over-the shoulder bite.

Yes - Montecore had a ferel moment. Since Roy didn't struggle, Monte assumed he was safe to eat.

It happened in Vegas and Monte got zipped with a 1000 cc's of curare and an earful of 000 high-brass.
