HJS
Nice brookie and kewl pics. In the first pic, the rock your leaning against looks like a giant catfish with its head at the waters edge and the next rock to the right looks like a whale, even has a mottled hide, needs a blowhole though. The first casualty of War, Politics, and now Covid is the truth.
The Fat Panther
What part of northern VA are you from? And do you know if there are any trout in the Potomac River? The Fat Panther
Yeah if I can get a boat. I live about 1/3 of a mile away from the potomac and goose creek. (Where they intersect) And I swear there's no fish there. I've only ever caught 2 and they were on consecutive casts. rob snowhite
north branch has trout if you consider that part of our potomac down here there have been stories of people catching trout in the potomac -be it someone stocked them or they escaped from a stocked stream/pond etc i used to manage part of a stream that was a trib to the shenandoa, it was stocked with brookies and had a barrier to prevent them from escaping. though i'm sure some got out before they were poached by the locals however these are just stories like the bikini-clad blonde in the canoe who would bow hunt for carp
RI: best part of CT
Nice railroad spikes - I had a blast catching them one October day at Cook's Falls on the Beaverkill - 1994 I think. Snow was falling, nobody fishing and the brookies were slamming anything I floated or dragged past them. Capio pisces, ergo sum.
